Seattle Seahawks Punch Postseason Berth with Thrilling Overtime Victory over Los Angeles Rams.

Game-winning play in overtime

Receiver Eric Saubert executed the decisive two-point play for Seattle.

The Seattle Seahawks staged a remarkable fightback to overcome the Rams in overtime, clinching their place in the postseason.

Rallying from a 30-14 hole in the final period, the Seattle squad emerged victorious by a single point at home, notching their fifth consecutive victory.

While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a post-season spot earlier on Sunday, the Seahawks secured their place to the postseason after a 24-month absence.

With this outcome, the Seattle now lead their Conference race with a 12-3 record, supplanting the Rams, who dropped to the number five playoff position with an eleven and four standing.

Game Recap

Quarterback Darnold threw two interceptions but recovered to make two scoring throws, including the tying score to star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba in overtime.

The Rams held a six-point advantage at the break before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a 55-yard scoring dash for Seattle.

Los Angeles cornerback Wallace then took back Darnold's first interception for a big return, leading to a short score by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the final stanza, a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Nacua pushed the advantage to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed ignited the hope with a spectacular punt return.

Darnold then connected with AJ Barner in the end zone, and a converted conversion forced the game into an extra period.

Although Puka Nacua raced in for his another touchdown in overtime, Jaxon Smith-Njigba answered in kind to set up the game-winning score.
